Buckaroo

Yahoo, it’s Buckaroo!

Buckaroo is a fun, easy game to play. But at the same time, one of the most stressful games I’ve ever played in my life.

You have to gently place supplies onto a plastic donkey, a donkey, I might add, with anger management issues. A bucket, a guitar, a spade, bed roll, a massive cowboy hat, a lantern and wooden chest are amongst the items that this poor donkey must carry, and they all get placed one at a time onto his saddle.

Place too many items on his back and, unlike a normal donkey that would just crumple under the weight, this one finds hidden energy and, if you’re sitting too close, will leap into the air and Chuck Norris you in the face.

There was a knack to getting more items onto the donkey than your opponent; put them all as close to the donkeys neck as possible and leave only the tail-end areas free. If you ever played against your parents when you were young, and wondered why Dad never lost a game of Buckaroo against you, this was why.
